I love cats. I've been called the crazy cat lady. At one point we had nine cats. Yep, that's a lot. We like to get rescue cats. There ae so many without homes. It all started when my hubby brought a calico kitty home from university and said she needed a home. The sucker I am, I said yes.
Don't get e wrong, I love all animals. Cats are my favorite. People have said to us that our cats are crazy Its true. They're normal when we bring them home, then they become crazy. We've got an orange kitty who is Polydactyl, which means he has extra toes. He's a softy most of the time, and loves sleeping in my arms. We've adopted a deaf cat, which at first was a challenge. We've taught him some simple hand commands, we touch our moths to let him know its time to eat. we've our hands to get him to jump up on the furniture or bed. we call him a slug because all he does is lay around and sleep. He loves knocking stuff off of any place he likes to sit. It drives us crazy.
Another strange cat we've had was cross-eyed and growled when some rang the doorbell. She was a hoot.
we adopted a fluffy orange kitty who keeps rowing. He's five and I'm starting to think he's part Maine Coon.
The saddest part is when they pass away. They're like family and when one is gone, it really hurts.
We adopted a black cat from a friend who had her declawed. Never, never declaw your cat. Its cruel. Because she had no claws, she tended to bite.
Those are a few of the kitties we've had over the years. Right now we have 5 cats.
Cats are great companions.
So I've shared why I love cats and I would love to hear from you and tell me about your cats.
